Whether it’s with time or money, giving back to the community is a rewarding experience for our team. We support local organizations within our community by joining in their efforts to make a difference.
Recently, the Sanchez Wealth Management team partnered with the Salvation Army for the Feed Nevada Day and annual Red Kettle Kickoff events, as a collaborative effort to collect turkey donations to help feed families in need. As a radio show host for News/Talk 780 KOH, Jon Sanchez and the KOH family promoted donations for nearly 12 hours. The result was a total of $18,600 in turkeys and monetary donations for the Salvation Army given by the generous radio audience and community members. We are honored to be able to help them raise awareness in assisting more than 3,000 individuals over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
Each month, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada helps feed more than 95,000 neighbors in need. Sanchez Wealth Management’s annual food drive collected $320 (which equates to 960 meals) and over 300 lbs. of non-perishable food items to help fight hunger in our local community.
Sanchez Wealth Management is partnering with Toys for Tots this year to collect toys for children in need.

Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) assists families with everyday costs such as household living expenses, mortgage payments, rent, food, utilities, travel expenses related to treatment, medical expenses, insurance deductibles, uncovered procedures, and additional expenses the family might need assistance with during a child’s treatment.
We have partnered with NNCCF to help ease the heavy financial and emotional burden that these families face by educating our community on ways to fight.
The Guest House is a Nevada non-profit corporation 501(c)(3) that was founded in the early 1990s when two Reno veterans, Chuck Fulkerson and Dick Rhyno, realized that veterans and family members were sleeping in their cars while visiting the local Veterans Administration Medical Center. Thus, leaving veterans and their families without a safe, warm, and clean place to stay. Since 2004, the Guest House has provided nearly 60,000 guest nights of lodging to veterans and their families. The original “Spouse House” provided close to 10,000 nights of lodging, bringing the total to over 70,000 veterans and family members served. Jon Sanchez dedicates hours of his live radio show programming toward ongoing fundraising efforts for The Guest House, as well as personally pledging donations to support the goal to help support lodging for veterans and their families.
